Cattle Egret poised ready for action, having espied a tasty butterfly amongst a swathe of yellow Ixora within the desert sparsely populated with flora and fauna. Unlike most other herons, cattle egrets feed in relatively dry grassy habitats though they usually near bodies of water with other wading birds. They feed particularly on insects, especially beautiful butterflies!
