 Crab-eating macaque down by the mud flats on the edge of the Kinabatangan River in Borneo. The Kinabatangan River is the second longest river in Malaysia and is home to a wide variety of animal life. Every year it floods during the monsoon season creating a wildlife haven with diverse habitats such as mangrove swamps, limestone caves and rainforest along its edges. Also known as the Long-tailed Macaque, the species is most commonly known as the Crab-eating Macaque because they are often seen foraging on rocky lagoons and river edges for tasty crabs or other crustaceans.
