Snow leopards have adapted to the mountainous cold climate of Central Asia. They have incredible thick fur on their body, tails and paws, keeping them warm in the coldest conditions. Their paws are large, almost like snow shoes whilst their ears are small to minimise heat loss. They also have exceptionally long tails enabling them to balance on uneven terrain. Snow leopards are a beautiful cat with lovely soft grey markings, making them virtually invisible in snow or prowling rocky cliffs.
