Clark's Anemonefish safely ensconced within the tentacles of a Bubbletip Anemone on the edge of a reef. Like most clownfish, chocolate clownfish prefer to live within sea anemones. There are several varieties of anemones that they prefer to occupy, although when they are unable to find a suitable home they will stay close to rock work. When they do find a home, they defend it diligently from any invaders or predators.
