Gorgonian Hydroids are a network of interlaced elastic chitinous branches with a fan like shape. A shrimp hides beneath within the corals of the reef. They are easily confused with Gorgonian Basket stars however they sting when touched. They are found in shady areas of the reef with current for feeding.
