Razorbill basking in the spring sunshine
Razorbill extending his wings in the spring sunshine. Razorbills only come to land for the breeding season from March until the end of July, forming into large colonies along coastal cliffs and rocky crevices. During the remainder of the year, they continue to reside in flocks but stay out at sea, diving underwater to feed. Razorbills thrive in cold climates where water temperatures are below 15 degrees centigrade
