However the Atlantic Puffin is not at all tropical, spending much of its life out at sea in the cold waters of the northern Atlantic, even up as far as the Arctic circle. Sea Parrots only return to land once a year in order to breed, staying long enough for their offspring to fledge and then returning to the ocean.
