Close-up of a Sumatran Tiger
Sumatran tiger gazing with intent. Male sumatran tigers have a very significant ruff around their face which offsets their beautiful stripes giving them an endearing expression. Sumatran Tigers are distinctive from other tigers because of their darker fur and narrower stripes. They are the smallest and rarest of all tigers, being the only surviving members of the Sunda island group of tigers.
