Undulated Moray Eel emerging from its lair on a reef drop-off decorated by a gorgonian hydroid, a multitude of hard corals qne a beautiful feather star just beginning to open for the night. A myriad display of colourful corals including a A minute coral shrimp perched safely on a table coral. Undulated moray eels can be found hiding amongst rocks and rubble or lurking in caves along reef drop-offs, emerging whenever they sense possible prey passing by. They frequently share caves or hiding places with other species of Moray eel.

Diet: Fish, octopi, crustaceans
Habitat: Reef flats amongst rocks and rubble, lagoons, reef drop-offs
Depth: 9 - 110 metres
Distribution: Indo-Pacific: Red Sea including Walters Shoal to French Polynesia, north to southern Japan and the Hawaiian Islands, south to the southern Great Barrier Reef. Eastern Central Pacific: Costa Rica and Panama.
